Areas of Focus
School Reform. Adam's pioneering Frameworks for Meaningful Student Involvement are increasingly important tools for students, educators, and school leaders who want to increase student engagement and family involvement. He teaches who, what, when, where, why, and how engaging students as partners and parents as partners in schools actually happens. Adam also facilitates learning experiences based on the SoundOut Student Voice Curriculum, designed to teach students about student voice.
Youth Engagement. Working with a variety of clients in the government and nonprofit sectors, Adam assists organizations as they seek to successfully engage young people in civic action. Facilitating a variety of planning activities and training sessions, Adam has worked with city and county governments, state-level youth councils, AmeriCorps programs, and community organizing campaigns to engage young people as partners.
Community Connections. Adam works with schools, organizations, agencies, and businesses to develop powerful connections that combine meaningful action with real outcomes. He combines traditional services like community mapping and action research with powerful models for engagement to create sustainable, effective opportunities for change.
