Adam Fletcher has almost 20 years experience working with young people and adults around the world to promote youth engagement. Thousands of children, youth and adults in hundreds of K-12 schools, nonprofit organizations and government agencies have worked with Adam to develop their own knowledge, as well as strategic, innovative programs, infrastrure development, and lasting organizational growth.
He specializes in professional development for young people and adults focused on youth engagement and meaningful student involvement. In 2002, he developed some of the first objectives, activity frameworks and evaluation strategies for schools to engage students as partners in school improvement.
A pioneer in the use of the Internet in engaging young people in social change, he trains on the application of social media in classrooms and after-school programs, and the impacts of new media on young people and adults' attitudes towards youth.
Adam has directed an international nonprofit, coordinated school health projects, acted as a senior policy analyst for a state agency, designed large scale school improvement efforts, and served three terms in the AmeriCorps National Service Program.
Adam is lauded for his ability to simplify and teach sophisticated concepts effectively and entertainingly.
